MansSaturday October 3rd, 2020 CanAm VRL drivers will take on the challenge of Petit Le Mans, in the 2020 edition on the iRacing.com event.

Petit Le Mans is a 10 hour endurance race held at the historic, and always challenging, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, in Braselton, Georgia. THe event was created by the legendary Dr. Don Panoz in the late 1990s in order to bring the spirit, excitement, and atmoshphere of Le Mans to North America. FO rthe past 20+ years, the event has served as the final race in the IMSA Weathertech Sports Car championship.

The team will be launching a full assault on this event with a 3 car effort. We will be fielding one Dallara P217 LMP2 car int eh Prototype class, as well as a Corvette C8.R and a Ferrari 488 GTE in the GTE class.

The Dallara P217 LMP2 entry will be piloted by Isaac Snider, Greg Prochnow, and Dylan Vose

The Corvette C8.R entry will be piloted by Jason Rabe, Chris Springer, and Johsua Bieling, while the Ferrari 488 GTE will be piloted by Robert Rattray, Thomas Harder, and Ian Pretorius.

With the many changes iRacing has made recently, in particular to the teams registration process, it is high possibility that all 3 cars will end up in the same spilt. Even if they do not, all three teams will have a live stream going so that our fans, and members who are not racing can follow our progress.

The events begins at approximately 9:45 AM EDT. Live streams will be available as follows:

  • Ferrari 488 GTE
    • https://titch.tv/canamvrl
    • directly from this website
  • Corvette C8.R

Be sure to check in on the teams, and show the drivers your support!

Australia has been dealing with an extreme bushfire season, since September 2019.

Australia has been dealing with an extreme bushfire season, since September 2019. To date, an estimated 26 MILLION acres have been burned, 5,900 buildings destroyed, and 28 people killed, making this the largest widlfire in recorded history.

This tragedy hits especially close to home for us at CanAm VRL, since one of our members (Glasnost) is with the New South Wales Rural Fire Service. New South Wales is the hardest hit region. The RFS, which is primarily volunteers, has been at the heart of the battle. In short, they are true heroes, who now need our help.

CanAm VRL is proud to be a supporting partner in an event named "Race For Relief". This is a fundraiser event hosted within iRacing.com and is the brainchild of Glasnost. He has managed to gain the support of several well known streamers to cover the race, and has led a team of individuals to organize the various elements including marketing, registration, officiating, etc.

100% of all driver registration fees ($15 AUD), and all funds raised from the broadcasts will be donated to fire services via a previously established Gamer Aid Go Fund Me campaign.

Driver registration, and full event rules are available from the event's Discord server ( https://discord.gg/RegHa8a ).

Please show your support of these heroes, and the victims of these tragic fires by either registering with a team, as an individual driver, or simply donating to the cause. Be sure to help spread the word to the larger iRacing community as well.

On behalf of all of us at CanAm VRL, I thank you for your support.
