After only 7 rounds of the normal 9 round Season, The Super GT GT500 Division has crowned its Champion. Yanagida Masataka and Ronnie Quintarelli, of the S-Road Reito Mola GT-R, clinched the championship in the Round 7 race at Autopolis in the Oita-Ken province of Japan. This is the second straight season they have won the championship, and only the second time the championship has been clinched before the final round of the series (2007 Arta Nsx and 2012 Mola GT-R).
